Something Blue

John is in the process of getting his insurance license and has been studying non-stop for the past week so he can take the state license exam. Because he needs complete silence to study he told me that he was going to the library to get a study room. I decided to join him because I had been wanting to get back into reading. We spent over 4 hours at the library and I checked out 4 of Emily Giffin's books.

I just finished reading 'Something Blue'.

This book was so cute and I could not put it down. I have been wanting to read her books and thought I'd start over my Mardi Gras break from work. I finished reading the book in a day and already started 'Heart of the Matter'. You just can't put her books down!

It's only befitting that in this post I mention what my something blue will be on our wedding day. The color blue is the color of my bridesmaid dresses and is the foundation of my whole southern themed wedding. The bridesmaid dresses are so classic and really everything I was looking for in a dress that has to look decent on 6 different body types! The color in this picture just does NOT do it justice. It is sweet, feminine and NOT even close to that 'I just painted my baby boy's' room color. I searched long and hard for the perfect blue and this color fabric does not compare to any other fabric I've seen!

Everything about my wedding will be as traditional as I can make it! ;) So of course, I love the "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" tradition. My something blue will by my garter and undergarments!

I'm planning on making my garter out of the extra fabric that we ordered from my bridesmaid dresses. I want a big bow on the garter! I love bows!

These 'Just Married' undies from Victoria Secret.

My something old will be the diamond inset cross necklace that was my grandmothers.

My something new will be my dress, veil, shoes, bracelet and corset.  ;)

My something borrowed will be the pearl earrings that my sister wore on her wedding day.

Today marks the 100th day until our wedding! It's getting so close!
